About Me

My Background

I've been a designer since I was born. I grew up with a Mother who nurtured my love of design. My fondest memories of my childhood were spent working on arts and craft projects. I started my career as a seamstress at the age of 10 when I received my first sewing machine for Christmas. It was much easier sewing my American Doll clothes by machine instead of by hand. I loved to re-arrange my bedroom monthly and according to my husband I still do.

I love to create something out of nothing. My favorite projects are made from recycled materials. I enjoy drawing, painting, reupholstering, interior & holiday decorating, photography & woodworking just to name a few. I believe its fair to say I am well versed in working within a versatile group of mediums. My greatest passion is to create.

In June 2015, I was lucky enough to marry my best friend Gary. He is also very creative and encourages me to pursue my dreams each and every day.

My Experience

I have been a Design Professional for over a decade and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. I started my career in Kitchen and Bathroom Design and soon transferred to Retail Architecture within an architecture firm. However, due to the economical crisis of 2008, I found myself in need of a career change.

At this point, I began to work extensively in the Floral Design Industry. I became a manager in a high-end retail floral boutique catering to many exclusive and well-known clients in NYC. I soon became Head Floral Designer once the public retail space was closed and converted into a plant maintenance, commercial floral design and green roof design company. My designs consisted of floral arrangements for television and film through the previous accounts we had throughout the NYC area.

Moving on from there, I wanted to remain in the floral industry and found myself working in sales for various wholesale floral companies, however I still continued working within Floral Design. I often freelance with wedding designers and retail shops. Its great to work with such talented people. I get to learn everyone's techniques and I am able to incorporate new ideas into my work while continuing to stay true to my own style.

My Vision

I love re-purposing old forgotten items and bringing them into a new light. I want everyone I design for to feel like they are in good capable hands. I want to help you take your vision and incorporate it into something special for years to remember.
