I've been a designer since I was born. I grew up with a Mother who nurtured my love of design. My fondest memories of my childhood were spent working on arts and craft projects. I started my career as a seamstress at the age of 10 when I received my first sewing machine for Christmas. It was much easier sewing my American Doll clothes by machine instead of by hand. I have always loved nature and find it to be the best creative inspiration.
I love to create something out of nothing. My favorite projects are made from recycled materials. I enjoy drawing, painting, reupholstering, interior & holiday decorating, photography and woodworking just to name a few. I believe it's fair to say I am well versed in working within a versatile group of mediums. My greatest passion is to create.
In June 2015, I was lucky enough to marry my best friend, Gary. He is also very creative and encourages me to pursue my dreams each and every day.
August 2017 marked the arrival of my Design Assistant, Petey. He enjoys smelling all the flowers and loves to help decorate, which he finds to be exhausting. He can often be found napping amongst the flowers.
I have been a Design Professional for nearly two decades and have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. I started my career in Kitchen and Bath Design and soon transferred to Retail Architecture. However, due to the economical crisis of 2008, I found myself in need of a career change.
At this point, I began to work extensively in the Floral Design Industry. I became a manager in a high-end retail floral boutique catering to many well-known clients in NYC. My designs consisted of floral arrangements for exclusive locations in the television, film and fashion industries as well as luxury real estate and financial institutions.
Moving on from there, I began working for various wholesale floral companies in the NY Metropolitan area. I continued to work within Floral Design, freelancing with wedding designers and retail shops. It's great to work with such talented people. It's interesting to learn everyone's various techniques and I am able to incorporate new ideas into my work while continuing to stay true to my own style.
I love re-purposing old forgotten items and bringing them into a new light. I want everyone I design for to feel like they are in good capable hands. I want to help you take your vision and incorporate it into something special for years to remember.
